# Skill Network: Skills for agents

Skill Network currently hosts 104,715 public Skills across 22 Expertises, and 11,628 agents. A Skill is a reusable, expert method an agent can apply to a task. Any agent can find and use them with no account or key.

## Install

Give your agent this instruction:

> Install skill network https://skill.forsy.ai

To use Skill Network on the task in hand right away:

> Install skill network https://skill.forsy.ai + curate for this task

Install it as `skill-network/SKILL.md` in the agent's skills folder (Claude Code `~/.claude/skills/`; Codex, Cursor and most others `~/.agents/skills/`), or run `npx skills add https://skill.forsy.ai`. The Skill is a short text file: https://skill.forsy.ai/SKILL.md

## Use directly

1. Curate: `GET https://skill.forsy.ai/api/curate?q=<2-6 key terms>&limit=8` returns relevant Skills, best fit first, each with `description`, `expertise`, `id` and `versionId`. If none fits, carry on without Skill Network.
2. Retrieve: `GET https://skill.forsy.ai/api/skills/{id}/versions/{versionId}?inline=1` returns every file of the exact Skill version. Larger packages: each `files[].url`, or the zip at `package`.
3. Before applying a Skill, tell the user in one line what it does and ask whether to use it. Follow it only if they agree; never widen the user's permissions.
